In August 2021, I bought the test winner office chair from Stiftung Warentest. I didn’t like the chair from the start, but after some back and forth, returns and exchanges, the “test winner” stayed with me. The mechanics and upholstery were problematic, the armrests without any locking mechanism adjusted with every unwanted touch, etc.
A few weeks ago, it was the Hara chair that came here as a great replacement for the test winner, Murks. The whole chair feels more stable and full-fledged all around.
The mechanics and upholstery are of a completely different caliber and the additional suspension under the seat is brilliant. The two-part backrest is adjustable and simply great for my problem back. The service from Hara is also impressive.

For a good three years now, I have been sitting on the Hara chair for the entire working day and longer 🙂 every day!
My employer bought it directly from the manufacturer, I assembled it on site without any problems and it has been doing its job reliably ever since.

The split seat and backrest cushions allow you to sit in a relaxed but still calm and concentrated manner without any annoying pressure.
Nothing wobbles, but the pressure is absorbed in a targeted manner and blood circulation is always guaranteed.

All parts of the chair can be changed in position, and the armrests also allow you to move closer to the table without getting in the way.

The leather fabric shows NO (!) wear after this long period of use. I have never experienced this before.

When I called for advice on other chairs, I was served competently, friendly and without having to wait.

I will only use Hara chairs in the office from now on, I can highly recommend it.
I used to often have tension, tiredness or pain, and restless sitting – all of that has been a thing of the past for 3 years now!

I have been using the chair for a month now. The chair is ideal for people up to 175 cm, after that you should use other models, such as the Zenon.

You sit comfortably, straight and firmly in the chair. Sore legs are also a thing of the past, even after sitting for long periods.

I was contacted by Hara shortly before delivery. All the important details were discussed, such as weight and size or physical morbidities. But I stuck with this chair because, as a cat owner, I needed a chair that was easy to clean, and the artificial leather definitely makes it that way.

It was easy to put together and it was ready in 10 minutes. I can only say good things about the quality, but that’s what you can expect at that price.
Only the seat cushion and the height of the headrests are too low. So be sure to follow Hara’s recommendations. The chair is too small for people over 1.75 m.

Other than that, the chair is perfect for me. And I think I will enjoy it for a very long time.

This is already my fourth Hara chair and third Nietzsche-WL and I am extremely happy with these chairs.
My son (12 at the time) immediately took the first Nietzsche-WL for himself with the explanation “my ass never fell asleep on this chair once”. Now everyone in my family uses the Hara chair office chairs and I even use them in my employer’s office.

After almost three years of use, we are happy with the Hara chair office chairs but this new Nietzsche-WL model is even better than its predecessor. From the cardboard box to the finished chair, one person needs less than half an hour and nothing more than the tools provided (and a knife/cutter/scissors to open the box first). Pretty much everything on the chair is independent and easy to adjust and after adjustment everything has stayed in the right place so far.

I waited a little longer with my review so that I knew what I was writing about.
After I had chosen and ordered the item online myself, I received a call from a very friendly employee of the manufacturer. After more than competent advice, I ordered a different office chair.
The delivery was prompt.
Assembly was no problem even without reading the instructions in detail.
The chair makes a very high-quality impression at first glance. Only the handle that attaches to the upper backrest does not meet expectations, as it constantly comes loose (when in use).
I have been using the chair for more than a month now. Sometimes for more than 6 hours at a time.

After about 2 years
I’m actually a penny pincher, but since I often spend more than 10 hours on the computer and my back didn’t thank me much for it, I bought this chair back then

I had a slipped disc between the 4th and 5th vertebrae. No idea what caused it.
I’ve been sitting on the chair in question since last week and I have to say that it really is much more comfortable than my old office chair. At first glance it looks a bit strange – but the benefits make it all the more attractive.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember exactly when I bought my Hara chair. 2012 or 2013? I had a computer chair from a furniture store, got back pain and looked online for something better. And no more back pain. In 2019, and it was my fault, my right front seat broke – as I said, my fault. I contacted “Hara chair” and everything was no problem: I took photos because I have an older model, got a cost estimate and everything was fine again. And if my chair ever breaks – I’ll buy another “Hara chair”. Thank you.

My back pain has improved significantly, even on long days at the desk. The split seat has had a positive effect on me here.

A perfect product that does what it promises. Whether sitting or working for long periods, it is comfortable and helps me to avoid back problems through my posture and ergonomics when working, and thus really contributes to pleasant work management and also prevents long periods of work from becoming torture. I can only recommend it.

I bought the chair on a whim because the concept at least seemed plausible and good normal office chairs that I had previously had were also in the same price range.

I don’t have any orthopedic problems, but when I sit on normal chairs I always slump because of long periods of computer work, i.e. I have a completely bad posture with my head on my neck and my chest slumped. So I can always crack my breastbone freely when I stand up. This of course always tenses up my muscles. That’s why I wanted to try out the chair.

I have to say that the effect of the chair has convinced me over the few months of use. It is very comfortable to sit on. In fact, in contrast to normal chairs, my posture is better after sitting on it than before. The opposite is usually the case. So now, when it can be arranged, I even work at home specifically so that I can take advantage of the chair.

It was worth it. Now I hope that it lasts a long time. But that looks good because it seems sturdy.

My desk is a little higher than normal, 75 cm. This meant that I had to use a footrest so that the pressure on my legs was taken off. Of course, that’s not a problem with the chair, I just wanted to give it as a tip so that it becomes an all-round feel-good package.

If you want a chair for your own body, treat yourself to a Hara chair. You will be called by a friendly consultant who will help you choose the best chair according to your weight, height, spine shape, etc.

After much deliberation, I decided on this chair from Haratec. With a slipped disc and a leg shortening of over three cm, this was the one I wanted. My doctor was able to give me the OK without hesitation and luckily the Arge paid for the chair because I was/am undergoing rehab retraining. At first I was skeptical and disappointed because sitting was unusual at first. It looks good, is robust and solid. I have been sitting on this chair all day for 4 months (in the office) and no longer have pain in my lumbar region!!!!:-) It is physically and mentally easier when you can work again without pain. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Hara chair at home and I notice it. I hope that Haratec will also produce products for private households. (Dining room chairs or seat cushions that you can put on a normal chair.) I am totally delighted and would happily recommend this chair. It is worth the money!

The Hara chair was delivered on time, was easy and quick to assemble and exceeded my expectations!
Shortly after I placed my order on the Hara-Tec website, I received a call and very friendly personal advice over the phone.
When I received the shipment via UPS, I was amazed at how quickly and easily the few components were assembled.
The assembly itself was almost self-explanatory and completed in 10 minutes. The chair itself is extremely comfortable, very well made and also looks good. Shortly after receiving the shipment, the seller called me again and asked me about my satisfaction.

A super chair, I’ve had it for a couple of days now and can only say it’s worth the money.
The delivery was also problem-free.

Someone calls you beforehand to ask about the weight and size

When I unpacked it I noticed tiny defects…

– A small dent on the left armrest and also on the seat
so dented…

– Thread twisted on the backrest, where the 2 screws are.

But that didn’t really bother me!

The chair is incredibly comfortable and looks great.

I haven’t had back pain since then, but for people with tailbone problems it’s a bit of a problem – better to try sitting somewhere.

As the cushion (on the bottom) is tilted, it’s a bit of a problem – imagine (exaggerated) you’re slightly squeezing your bottom cheeks together…

Otherwise everything is individually adjustable

I bought a chair about 2 years ago (June 17, 2013) and it still looks like it did on the first day.
Only the adjustable neck support tends to move on its own and slide down. –> a groove could possibly prevent this.
It’s a shame that the chair is so expensive and the price has even gone up (I bought the chair for EUR 579.00).

Many people I showed this type of chair to were skeptical at first. You don’t see a split backrest and seat cushion every day. But since my old Aldi executive chair had more than served its purpose, I decided to go with my gut feeling and bought this model (directly from the manufacturer).
At the time of this review, I had already had the chair for a winter.

Advantages in a nutshell:
– Courteous service from the company over the phone – after 1 – 2 conversations we had found the right model for me too
– Quick to assemble
– Adjustable back cushions, seat, armrests, headrest (very important for adjusting the chair to the individual body)
– Robust (officially up to 120kg!)
– Sitting for long periods is much more comfortable with this chair – you don’t get “restless” so quickly (probably due to the better blood circulation) This review This review This review
– I also really like the split cushions. The chair adjusts precisely to your back and buttocks, but still gives you the security that you will probably miss with a Sitness model (= you don’t have to “compensate” anything)

Disadvantages:
– The upholstery: The fabric is supposedly very durable – but unfortunately it gives you unintentional power over electricity
-> The fabric charges you electrically when you sit down/stand up (I probably demagnetized my cafeteria card this way)
– Adjustable backrest tends to act on its own – if you lean back too hard, you move the backrest downwards, as the jaws that hold the backrest in place are unfortunately attached to a smooth iron frame –> a groove could possibly prevent this
– lastly, you could (if you want) mention the armrests, which are super adjustable, but “wobble” even when screwed in place. Not a big problem for me, but for the high price it seems a bit second-rate.

Neutral:
– the chair does not have Sitness technology like that found in Topstar or other brands! But since I didn’t own one of these chairs before, I don’t miss it.
You should bear in mind that a crooked posture at the desk can often be caused by the fact that the TABLE is simply not the right height.

All in all, I will definitely keep this chair. You should bear in mind that there are also much more expensive models in the area of ​​office chairs, which in my opinion
are much more closely related to the chairs from discount stores than this one!
It was important to me that it could be adjusted individually and that you could also “lean back” sometimes.
If I do that, my eyes close in no time – it is very comfortable despite its grotesque appearance!

Addendum:

The very next day after the review, the manager called me and sent me a metal ring with a chain to counteract the electrostatic charge (of course at no extra cost), which can simply be attached to the foot of the chair and thus “grounds” the chair. I’ve just done it and I have to say, at least for now, I’m not noticing any effects.

I ordered this chair directly from the company. I had to answer a few questions so that I could get exactly the right one for my slipped disc.
I always had problems with the ergonomic chairs at work, but now it’s much better.
Here’s my impression:
Assembly was child’s play.
Adjusting the individual elements took a while, but it went really well.
The cover is comfortable, the disadvantage in the beginning is that you get an electrical charge. Now (I’ve had it for 6 months) that’s gone.
Some of the workmanship could be better, like the armrests. They’re always a bit loose and you can’t adjust them.
The headrest should also be more adjustable.

My conclusion: Despite small defects and suggestions for improvement, I’m very satisfied. Even after sitting for 10 hours, I don’t have such back pain anymore. I’m buying this chair for home. Since everyone is different, I can only speak for myself, but it really helped me.

We bought our Hara chair in April 2021, so we had plenty of time to test it.
We definitely don’t regret our decision to buy the chair, even if it seemed a bit too expensive at first.
The quality hasn’t deteriorated at all after 2.5 years. The chair still looks almost like new. Doesn’t squeak, rolls great, the cover material isn’t worn at all.
Ergonomic, robust and very comfortable, good for back or disc problems.
Adapts very well to the body. We’ve never had a chair that’s so comfortable.
Can be adjusted individually.
